Miyazaki doesn’t find success until in his 40s. His best works were made when his hair was already white and his grip on the pencil was loosening.

The thing he says in front of the camera, which he treated as invisible (assumedly because it was always there), give faith to any of us who find ourselves mired in doubt, blocked, or otherwise stuck.
